Very Rare "Swiped" President Truman Cigarette Case

This is a fantastic piece of Presidential history that shows the rarely seen sense of humor of President Truman. This is a rare official Presidential gift from the Truman White House. Despite the inscription I cannot guaranty this was actually stolen off of the desk of president Truman I can guaranty it is in fact a very rare President Truman VIP gift. This cigarette case is in very nice shape for its age with only a few scratch as can be seen in the photos. The printing while slightly worn is still strong. This case is also fairly heavy and well made not like the much lighter Truman era campaign cigarette case that I have seen.  I obtained this directly from the personal collection of a former White House staffer. These are very hard to find and I have only seen one other for sale  in all my years of presidential  collecting. This is truly a museum quality item. $500.00

President Truman White House Gift Lighter

This is a very rare President Truman official White personal gift lighter. These lighter were known to often be carried by President Truman in his coat pocket and given out personally by him. I have only seen two of these lighters go up for sale both were attributed as personal gift from Harry Truman given directly to White House employees. One to Lillian Roger Parks his favorite personal maid and one to Secret Service agent Frank Stoner. What makes this particular one even more rare is it still comes with its original tin, protective bag outer slip cover and all its paperwork (instructions, warranty order forms) . The lighter and case are in fantastic condition for its age the out slip cover box has some tape on the edge to keep it from coming apart. I have never seen one more complete and in better condition. This is a true museum quality Truman Presidential gift.  $375.00

Very Rare President Eisenhower Personal Gift Lighter

This is a very rare personal gift and personal thank you from President Eisenhower and his wife to the few friends and high level campaign workers who attended a special picnic at Eisenhower farms during President Eisenhower's first term. It is a Bowers Sure Fire Lighter in remarkable condition for its age (please see photos). The lighter looks like it has had very little if any use and what is more remarkable is that it still comes with it's original box and paperwork. This lighter and it's original box are in fantastic condition for their age with only a few tiny scratches or dings. (please see photos)
This is truly a museum quality Truman White House artifact.
The wording on the lighter is.

Very Rare President Eisenhower Presidential Trip Lighter With Box

This is a rare VIP gift from President Eisenhower Presidential Cruise June 16th -18th June 1960 on board the U.S.S. Saint Paul. This cruise was for heads of state and important diplomats as part of his Pacific Rim Tour of the far east.

This Presidential goodwill tour included The Philippians, Taiwan, Okinawa and South Korea.

The trip started in the Philippians where President Eisenhower became the first siting president to visit the country.
It then left from the Philiapeans were President Eisenhower received the Order of Sikatuna, Raja rank, the highest Philippine decoration, conferred only on heads of state.

The President left the Philippians aboard The heavy cruiser USS Saint Paul onward to Taiwan and the rest of his goodwill tour of Pacific Rim.

The lighter has The presidential Seal on one side and the words

"Preidential Cruise 16-18 June 1960"

On the reverse it says

"U.S.S. Saint Paul/CA-73"

With a raised enameled shield, on which it reads "Fighting Saints" with a figure of a weapons clad figure.

The lighter is in fantastic condition for it's age and looks to never have been used and still has the original box in excellent condition. This is a true museum piece and I have never seen another of these in better condition inside or outside of a museum.

The last photo show President Eisenhower aboard the ship during the tour and it shown for reference only and is not included.

Official Senator John F Kennedy Sterling Silver Pen

This is a very rare hard to find Sterling Silver Imperial Pen made for then Senator John F Kennedy by Silvercraft. Silvercraft took pens of other manufacturers and added a sterling silver overlay over the barrel.  Silvercraft made a couple of different pens for JFK first as Senator, then for the Inauguration and finely as Presidential gifts. This pen is an Imperial ball point pen marked Sterling. The pen has a stencil cut filigree design on the barrel and the words "Senator John F. Kennedy" This pen shows some natural age and toning but it is in good shape and in working order, though it will need a new cartridge to write. According to the Guernsey's JFK auction were one of these pens was featured these pens were not only given out by Senator Kennedy but he frequently used them himself as well. The last 2 photos are for reference only. It is the pen that was featured in the Guernsey auction which is the same type of pen that I have here. $795.00

Rare Early Kennedy White House Gift Ashtray and Kennedy Matchbook

This was one of the very first official gifts given out by President elect John F. Kennedy to his friends and closet supporters. It is one of my personal favorite piece of Kennedy political memorabilia as it is not only personal but shows the rarely seen since of humor of The Kennedy's. This is a lovely glass ashtray made by the Lujack Company for The Kennedy Family. Along with the ashtray I am including an official Kennedy matchbook from the same general time period.

The ashtray says the following.

Mr. and Mrs. John F. Kennedy
announces
a change of address
to
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington D. C.
At Home
January 20, 1961

The astray is in nice condition for its age. The original paint is very good for its age and you can still read the Lujack marking on the back guaranteeing it authenticity. However there is a chip in the lower right hand corner. Please see high definition photos provided including close up of the chip from both side. The ashtray still displays very well and as these were made of glass and are 60 years old chips and scratches are very common.

The last photo is for reference purposes only. It is a photo of one of these ashtrays that was for sale in The famous Guernsey JFK auction. They estimated a value of $1200 then. This is not that particular but one of the same kind.

$350.00

President Lyndon B Johnson Kennedy Esterbrook pen used to sign Peace Corps Legislation
Senate Bill (s. 2054) 1965

Senate Bill S. 2054 from the 89th Congress (1965–1966) was legislation that amended the Peace Corps Act. It altered Peace Corps operations by raising spending limits on research, modifying volunteer and staff compensation, and extending Career Information Service programs for returning volunteers.

The bill-signer is a Esterbrook dip pen. The Esterbrook bill-signer was first used by Harry S. Truman as a official bill-signer however these pens were made famous by President John F, Kennedy who loved these used and loved these pens. These pens were used by 4 presidents and the only way to date them is by the length of the imprinting of the word " The President - The White House) on the barrel of each pen the printing got bigger with each President. The one most tied to President Kennedy are the 40mm this one is the 43mm version which were ordered by the Kennedy White House and briefly used by president Kennedy before his assassination at which time then President Johnson would continue to use them until the Parker Eversharp bearing Presidnet Johnson name arrived sometime in 1965.

This is a 43mm wording of the Esterbrook Bill-signer that President Johnson used to sign Senate Bill S 2054 updating the Peace Corps in August 24 1965.

From the Date on the bill this appears to be one of the last uses of these Historic Esterbrook bill-signer to be used to sign any bill.
.
This pen itself is in excellent shape especial for its age please see photos. The pen bears the words
The President - The White House

What makes this actually Presidential use Esterbrook bill-signer even more rare and those valuable is it comes is the rare box from The White House bearing both The Presidential Seal and President Johnson signature on is similar to Parker Eversharp that he had created to replace the Esterbrook Pen. This tradition of having the Presidential Seal and the President Signature on the presentation box of bill signers would pretty much stand until this day more than 60 years late.

I am also including a Small Black and White photo of The White House taken during 1965 the date of the bill signing. $500.00

The last four photos show both President Kennedy and President Johnson actually using a Esterbrook Bill signer similar to this one during actual bill signing ceremonies and are provided for reference only you can find dozens more on the web.

This is beautiful 1969 Inaugural Medal set in a 2" Lucite square. These specialized "1969 Richard Nixon Inauguration Medals" housed in plexiglass cubes were produced as White House special orders to be given as exclusive gifts during the 1972 Moscow Summit with Leonid Brezhnev. This medal gift is in fantastic shape for its age with no chips making it a fantastic souvenir of this historic event.

The Moscow Summit of 1972 was a summit meeting between President Richard M. Nixon of the United States and General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. It was held May 22–30, 1972. It featured the signing of the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) Treaty, the first Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty (SALT I), and the U.S.–Soviet Incidents at Sea agreement. Extraordinarily Rare Reagan Assassination Pen

This is the rarest President Reagan Pen I have ever had. This pen is from a incredibly historical significant point in American history. The 1981 assignation attempt of President Ronald Reagan and his miraculous recovery. It is the opinion of many historians that the assassination attempt and Presidential Reagan's remarkable recover and the way he was able to brilliantly turn the resulting sympathy and good will into political capital that steam rolled over Democratic objection to his political agenda.

.

This is a pen especial made for president Reagan's emergency surgery and recovery at George Washington University Hospital,  From March to April o1981.It was given out to his Doctors and Support Staff in attendance. I got this directly from a person who was among the first wave of White House people that swarmed the hospital when the President was brought there. He spent 4 straight days there before he was relived. He was again at the hospital during the later part of his stay and it was for that service that he received the pen.

While Presidential gifts including pens are often made for Presidential Trips or special occasions I have only heard of one other pen made for a hospital stay or procedure and that was the one Regan gave out to his Doctors and support staff for his prostrate operation in 1987.

.

This is the only one of these pens I have ever seen come up for sale or in fact actually seen in person. Hopefully there will never again be a reason for such a pen to be made. I cant begin to state how rare this pen is and saying that it is in a fact a true museum piece is barely scratching the surface. The pen itself is in excellent conditions.

.

Printed on the pen is the following.

Thanks for your Prayers
